LSHTM Week: What are discrete choice experiments (DCEs)? An introduction and some interesting applications

Date: Tuesday 18 September

Time: 14.00 – 16.00

Location: LG80, Keppel Street

Interested in understanding why people make different choices?

Not sure of the best way to maximise uptake in a trial or implementation?

Heard of discrete choice experiments but not quite sure how to why to use them?

The session will give an overview of discrete choice experiments (DCEs), led by the Preferences and Behaviour Theme from the Centre for Health Economics in London (CHIL).

It will introduce the background and theory of DCEs, give some ideas of how they can inform health programmes and research studies, and give an overview of how to do them.

It is designed for non-specialists and those interested in potentially applying DCEs in their work. There will be a series of short presentations followed by time for discussion.

Details on live streaming the event will be available soon.
